School Direct is an employment based model of teacher education where you will gain qualified teacher status (QTS) and in some cases a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). School Direct involves MSTA working in partnership with our university providers to deliver the training. You'll be based in one of our schools, but supported by the university throughout.
MSTA offers both salaried and non-salaried (training route) School Direct programmes with different university providers. Uniquely, several of our programmes have a specific SEN focus aimed at students who wish to work in special educational needs settings and we also offer a mainstream primary route leading to QTS.
To apply for our programmes, please visit the UCAS website.
